I’ll See You And Listen To You In Atlanta

By Paul Bieber

It’s just a week away.  Is it: A–the day the Mets get mathematically eliminated from the playoffs?  B–The start of the GlassBuild trade show where I can meet all my loyal readers?  Or C–Is it the 200th anniversary of Commander Oliver Perry defeating the British Navy in the Battle of Lake Erie?

The envelope, please.  What a surprise! The correct answer is:  All of the above.

Since most of you don’t care about the Mets, or know where Lake Erie is, let’s talk about the GlassBuild show in Atlanta.  I am looking forward to meeting my readers and seeing old friends.  I will be in the USGlass booth, number 708 on Tuesday from 1-3 p.m, on Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon.  Please stop by and let me know how the glass business is doing in your area or suggest an idea you would like covered in a future blog.  We can talk about who will win the World Series (My prediction is the Tigers over the Dodgers in seven), or just about anything on your mind.

And now a commercial word from our sponsor:  I’ll also be showing off my new book, Solutions to Everyday Business Problems at the show, and you can order a dedicated and signed first-edition copy.

I’m going to the show to listen to the comments of the glass users – to hear what is on your mind and what can we all do to improve our industry’s economic health.  There will be great new products and ideas from vendors and snazzy giveaways.  But to me, the best part of the show will be meeting you.

See you there.
