Trade Show Season is Starting
I will soon head to Honolulu to attend Glass Expo Hawaii™ ’26 (GEH), which takes place from February 4-6 at the Alohilani Resort in Honolulu. The event kicks off the show season with a strong statement: “Education in Paradise.”
As I wrote last year around this time, in recent years, local shows have worked to include educational elements. Trade shows that incorporate educational components stand out for their added value. Attending these shows is not just about browsing exhibits but also about gaining knowledge that can advance your career or business.
Gaining Knowledge
GEH’s educational seminars will cover subjects from the economy, industry best practices and updated building codes. Presenters will also share new industry innovations. I will host a seminar covering heavy glass handrails. You will have an opportunity to listen, ask questions and learn about designing and engineering a safe handrail system that complies with updated building codes.
Helpful Tips
For those of you who are exhibiting at these regional shows, it will make the trip a lot more effective to arrive a few days early and set up some appointments with your local customers. This will add value to your trip and encourage more customers to attend the show. If you are one of the presenters, you should encourage your company to advertise your seminar through an email blast or social media. We are all investing a lot of money to man a booth, so educating your local customers on what you will be showing or presenting will increase intrigue.
